The Sheffield Edwards papers, 1944-1945.

Contains documents, orders and maps from the 12th Army Group, G-3 Air Subsection on aerial operations in the western front during World War II including target recommendations, strategic bombing attacks, close air support, reports of combat observations, the organization of a G-3 air section in various units, and duties of the personnel of this G-3 section (1944-45). Some documents concern aerial bombing by the 9th Air Force and papers on its air support communications and an air support plan of the 3rd U.S. Army operations (1944-45).
